In my opinion there really is a big misconception about what ducks eat better than others. Don't get me wrOng , I'll take a wood duck or a teal over anything else. I think sometimes we believe the better eye candy ducks also taste better. Just because a duck is a diver or a spoonbill or whatever , doesn't mean they are feeding on oily fish all the time. They eat whatever is available. A wood duck, teal, or mallard will eat crawfish, crickets , spiders and snails if that is what is out there. Some of the way we view this is in our head . And they all eat mud and sand.
