I have a 2011 Prodrive and gotten the IM heads, mm exhaust and carb. Iv put the new heads on and am now working on the carb, I have a couple questions, how do I install the governor block lock? And the 2 wires that went to the old carb, what do I do whith them ? And any other things I should know about ?

 Re: installing mod questions
you know how to set valve lash? That is very important....also the govenor block, turn the govenor all the way clock wise and hold it there and put the govenor block on and tighten it down to where the govenor can't rotate back coutner clock wise.

 Re: installing mod questions
First time really tinkering with the engine, I set the valve lash .004 intake and .006 exhaust. The governor twist a little bit clockwise when the notch is vertical, there are 2 semi circle pins and a washer on the governor shaft I assume I leave those there? And because I no longer have a governor is it possible that my engine can over rev or does it already have a rev limiter? And the wires that went to the old carb I don't need anymore? Do I need to connect them togeather or leave them how they are? Lastly, on the intake going to each head I have gaskets that came with the kit, I have 2 papery/sponge gaskets that fit, and 2 thick metal ones that do not fit perfectly. What do the thick metal ones goto? And am I going to need to get a fuel pump or should I be good?

 Re: installing mod questions
1) Leave washers there they can't hurt anything on the govenor unless it prohibits the govenor block from intstalling correctly 2) When you put the govenor block on you eliminated your rev limiter so you will need a rev box. (unless yours is a CDI) then your rev limiter is built into the coils 3) Thats what dead bird was talking about you Fuel solenoid wires, you can tuck those away! 4) The thick metal looking ones go on the Exhaust and the papery ones go on intake, but you shouldn't have to remove the intake, only detach it from the top of the intake so you can intall the new intake adapter for the new carb. 5) On the fuel pump its up in the air, run the motor without and if it boggs and starves for fuel then you'll most likely need one, but more times then none you won't need one but not all motors run the same.
hope this helps

 Re: installing mod questions
Push the split ring washers down on the shaft next to the block and put the governor lock on top. Turn the governor shaft CCW with the governor lock loose and then tighten the bolt so there is no play in the shaft at all- it should be locked and not move.
If you have a 2011 motor its probably a CDI and the rev limit (4300 stock CDI coils) is built into the coils themselves, if not you will need a separate electronic rev limiter wired into your wiring harness.
The intake and exhaust gaskets are probably from your Head install gasket set. Clean all the graphite off the old gasket surfaces with acetone and or alcohol and torque to spec. Metal gaskets are the exhaust gaskets.
