 Deer and Turnip stew
I took approximatly 2 pounds of deer backstrap (loin) and chopped into bite size peices... peeled and chopped some turnips.. about 1 walmart size bag full.
I browned the deer meat in olive oil.
Removed the deer meat once brown.
Added in the turnips, garlic, and a few bell peppers and onion tops.( i cant have onions on my diet)
Browned that good.
Added the meat back in and added water. Added Tony's to taste. Brought it up to a simmer on the stove then stuck it in the oven at 350 for 2 hours.
Cest Si Bon
7oz of deer and a 1.5cups of turnips
da pot

 Re: Deer and Turnip stew
Looks good Bubba. Kinda curious, why can't you have onions in your diet? I've always had the impression that vegetables were healthy.
