Post What do yalls boats weigh?
I have an 1860 made of all 1/8" aluminum and has 5 longitudinal braces and 17 braces running cross the boat on 1ft centers.and then a second floor covering it all up. I feel like it is gonna take a huge motor to push my boat. It weighs almost 1100lbs with no hunting gear or motor.

What does yalls boats weigh, what motor do y'all have and how fast are they?

I seen review on speeds but not many of them say what the boats weigh.

Thanks for any info.

I guess I should have put this ? In a different spot but I am trying to get at how big of a motor I will need, or how much I will have to mod a 35 to push m boat.

Dat will take quite some hp. Ain't gonna be bad if ya ain't pushin mud but of ya gotta go through some shit, get some big hp. I run a 550 lb hull wit a 27 kohler ta get ya an idea a weight ta power. Obviously ya always wish ya had more.

Yeah I would like to get a gtr for the reverse but on there website you can't order them already modded, or can you? And would the reverse even do that well on a boat that big and heavy? I do have a winch if the reverse don't get me out.

I know mb offers the modded motors from the factory like the bps 6000 and 7000.

Pod & Mitch, are those scale weights or calculated from the material?

Mine is a factory spec. Da only thing I got more weight in it is da bow mount trollin motor. My boat ain't big though, it's only a 1544 but mud buddy makes er an der known ta be heavy.

My weight also includes battery and a winch and a radio with speakers and an amp. But no life jackets fire extinguisher or fuel cell or paddle ect.. Just the hull plus the other stated in this post.
