my buddy broke a leaf spring on his trailer. does anyone know where he can buy some in lafayette?

Tractor supply has a decent selection. Just bring whatever he has in there and match em up. I would go ahead and replace both. They aren't very expensive. Also make sure yall check that trailer out good. If you hit something hard enough to break a spring, you may have some other damage. Even if they just rusted out or something, I'd still look at everything real good while your under there.
