 Help please. (crankcase cover)
I was letting the excess oil drip out of my crankcase cover and this part fell out and I dont know where it came form. Any help is appreciated.

Hard to tell on my phone, but kinda looks like a lifter. But how did it fall out???

No its not a lifter. Im pretty sure it came out of the oil pump thing inside the cover in the upper right hand corner of the cover. but I dont see how it goes back in

Go on the website and look at the exploded parts diagrams. Maybe you can figure out where it goes from that?

That goes inbetween the fly weights on the gov. Gear it pushes on the gov shaft. There also should be a small retaining ring that goes under it as you slide it back inbetween the wights

You need to lift up on the gear and let the weights open then put it on the shaft an slide everything down together

If you are taking the gov shaft out. Make sure you remove the whole gov gear assembly
