 Electric Fuel Pump
I was having a Fuel delivery problem. Running Wide Open and the Motor would start starving for fuel and sometimes just died. I read all the Electric Fuel pump posts and got several numbers for Pumps. I decided just to call Coco and buy one from them. I was sent a Facet 40104 for $55.00. Coco made no money on this pump. It got here in two days which meant that the pump was in stock. The Pump had fittings that were already wrapped in Teflon tape, a Quick connect for the Wires, a Metal mounting plate for the Engine, and instructions. I was impressed. My Boat has the Fuel tank in front of the Grab Bar which means there is about a three foot lift for the fuel. Coco recommended mounting on the Engine but I did not want to alter my Engine. I mounted mine on the side of the Boat beside the Fuel Separator. I left the Manual Vacuum Pump on the Engine. Since in my case removing the Tank Quick connect was not an option, I changed to the Chyrsler/Suzuki style connectors. These look like an Air Hose connector.
I discovered that the White Wire that I needed to connect to, was just stubbed off, so this was a very easy wiring job. Instalation took about an hour simply because I am Hard Headed. I will not use Quick Connectors. I Solder all my connections and I put in a Fuse. The Motor started right up with the Facet clicking like crazy. The Facet took about two minutes before it settled down and was quiet. Everything seemed to work just right and I will try it on the Water this week end. I did notice after I killed the Engine that the Tank Connector had a noticeable suction when I disconnected it. I think this was a good move. Again the number on the Pump was Facet 40104 from Go devil at $55.00. I called Napa and several other places trying to find the Pumps listed on here and most would not even try and order one for me.

 Re: Electric Fuel Pump
Ran my Motor this Weekend. White Caps every where but I had no fuel problems. Motor ran great and had no air bubbles in the Filter. I did notice that the Fuel Pump was noisy and clicked almost constantly. Is this normal?

 Re: Electric Fuel Pump
Took my Tank apart. It is an Atwood 6 gallon from academy. The Pickup tube had a super fine, really small screen on the end of it. This screen was way too small a filter to be using on this tank. For this to be used it needed to be much much larger. This is why I was having so much problems. I was not even aware this tube could be removed. I took my knife and cut out the screen completely. I bet this solves my problems. I still have the filter on my Motor and a Water/Fuel separator, so I am fine without this tank filter. If you buy an Atwood tank, this little filter is going to cause you problems until you remove it.

 Re: Electric Fuel Pump
Glad you got it figured out, but just as I, along with numerous others have said all along, an e-pump only masks another issue that needs to be addressed.

 Electric Fuel Pump
It shouldn't take fuel from the sides. Go cut a hole in drinking straw half way up. As soon a the drink gets below the hole in the straw you are gonna suck air.

 Re: Electric Fuel Pump
Even if the tank is in the front? 17' boat. Will 5/16" fuel lines be sufficent?

 Re: Electric Fuel Pump
Just tryin to make sure I have everything ready when the motor arrives. Ive read alot of helpful things on here that you guys have done to your rigs. After spending the money on the motor and hulling out my old boat I just dont feel like hearing my ol ladies mouth flappin if I dont have everything there to make it run its best the day I get it.

 Re: Electric Fuel Pump
If you don't have a primer bulb or an e-pump, then your fuel pump on your motor has to work that much harder to initially crank the motor. The primer bulb needs to be there to keep the fuel system primed enough to crank.

 Re: Electric Fuel Pump
Well I think thats a good person to blame!! Talke dot one guy about it and he doesnt run a seperator but uses Lucas gas stabilizer to stabilize the ethanol/water effect. Never can be to cautious when it comes to being stranding in the middle of no where

 Re: Electric Fuel Pump
There is a good bit without ethanol by me. It may have something to do with the fact that boats out number people in my parish
