 go devil engine
Hi guys i have a g3 yamaha 16x52 with a 20'' transom. I'm interested in purchasing a go devil engine. Im looking into the 27hp surface drive and the 35 hp surface drive. Does anybody have the same boat as i do and what size engine is on the boat. Please share your ideas with me regarding the 27hp surface drive and the 35 hp surface drive.

 Re: go devil engine
I would get the 35 if it's not a money issue that's holding you back.

 Re: go devil engine
^ this. Get the 35, but decide if you are going to cut the transom to 16 inches or get a motor for tall transom. Cutting Shouldn't be a big deal, you are going to need to beef up the transom anyways. These motors are heavy and abuse boats not designed for them. Look at other brands too, godevil is nice, but so is reverse. Although having no dealer within a few thousand miles, push poles work.

I had a 27 hp mudbuddy sd on a 1548 g3 and it wasnt worth crap. Get the 35! I would also check with the other brands also.
