 removing flotation foam
how much does flotation foam weigh? Would the reduction in weight be worth removing flotation foam from under the floor and in the bow? I am considering removing the foam in my beavertail to shave a few pounds

 Re: removing flotation foam
Actually the foam is not heavy at all, unless ofcourse it is waterlogged. Foam and my boat seats combined were maybe 5 lbs.

 Re: removing flotation foam
I removed the seats out of a friends boat earlier this week that were waterlogged... I removed about 100lbs of waterlogged slop.
