 CopperHead? I am looking into buying my first mud rig. I really like Copperhead MM's and they seem to be fairly budget friendly. Mainly i am wondering about mods that can be done as i am anticipating putting a 12hp on a 1442 or 1436. i would like to get some opinions on mods that could increase the torque of the motor.
Any suggestions welcome.

Re: CopperHead? what kind of 12hp engine are you putting on that unit if it's a LCT get ready , because they are OIL leaker's ! as far as mods go ,carb work, head work ,and exshaust, 12hp LCT are single cyclinder will have to look around or ask gill? he sould know what can wake that engine up

Re: CopperHead? i have a 18 on a 14x48 and love it the 18 is only 15-20 lbs more then the 12hp and the 18 would have plenty of power for that size boat

Re: CopperHead? Thought that was you Brasso. i actually have a honda 13hp that been sitting around for years. i may just get a frame and put that on it. i know them hondas are reliable with very little problems.

Re: CopperHead? I also started out with a small 13 hp and tricked it out. I think I’m at 18 hp now. If I had to do it over again I would just pay for the HP up front.
Once you add a load to these small motors they just bog down. They run great solo.
