Ron Hill building Mud Buddy props?
Just got a new BPS Tiger prop Man. by Mercury marine today from MB. Well its exactly the same as a Hill prop I have and does not have the part # and BPS Tiger 9x5 cast on the back of the blades like the prop I am replacing. Ron Hill mud props are junk IMO, the blades are thin, my 9x5 measured to be a 9x7 and why my 23 horse couldn't turn it and led me to try the Tiger prop. The Tiger prop was the best I had ran after trying Hopkins, Godevil, and Hill over the years. I have not heard back from MB/Justin but was jut curious if this had happened to anyone else.
cheers, Mark

Re: Ron Hill building Mud Buddy props?
Well I was told today that only the surface drive Tiger prop is made by Mercury today and they have switched suppliers on the long tail props. Tell me it doesn't look just like a Hill prop. I'm starting wonder if Hill buys his as well from the same supplier. They also stated that thier new prop is hex drive and comes with a hub adapter for 3/4x10 shafts which I have seen at BBladesproppellers/Leading edge. I have never had any problems buying over the net and was very happy with the last prop I bought from MB and there prompt service but I am not sure what they are tring to pull off here. The prop has poor machining and the blades are very thin compared to the real BPS Tiger prop I have. Has Mud Buddy changed hands or something? I have 2 days of trying to talk to some one only to get a send me a pic so I can see what your talking about then nothing back from anyone there.

Re: Ron Hill building Mud Buddy props?
Well found today after finally getting someone at MB to fess-up...I was correct this aint a BPS Tiger brand prop. Their supplier in China I was told had not made a production run yet or there was a shipping delay so they had to out source some props to have some on the shelf for customers. At any rate 3 days later they did make me the offer to ship it back for a refund so it appears it will all work out for me in this case. You may want to ask before you order a prop from them (if it matters to you) if it's an original or substitute BPS Tiger prop as there is a noticable difference. As a side note they are going to offer the Hex drive prop with the adapter in the near future that will make special tools and mallets not need for prop removal on longtails. Maybe the same as the Leading Edge props on ebay out of Wi.

Re: Ron Hill building Mud Buddy props?
Well I talked with Brad at Bblades today about thier new Leading Edge prop. http://bblades.com/product/bblades/lead ... propeller/He told me it was thier own design and that are not a knock off of others. I told him I had ran them all and owned a 23gdlt since 96 and run alot of props and would know pretty quick if thiers was the new cream of the crop for long tails. It should be here in a few days and I will post some pics and if time permits before openning weekend a short review of how their wheel works compared to others I have run.

They did the same with my crossover muffler. Outsourced manufacturing to incompetent shop. That's a fact.

Re: Ron Hill building Mud Buddy props?
they are currently out of big blades also. So they dont have props, they dont have exhaust, they dont have their motor with reverse out, and who knows what else is out of stock. This is bull shit. The season is around the corner and I cant even get a fucking prop from the manufacturer who makes motors for customers that they know are going to need new props. Ive been emailing mudbuddy and have been getting the run around for 3 fucking weeks about the props. Sorry for the rant, but this pisses me off.
