 Right forum? battery dies
OK- I have a PD 36 HP with 25 hrs on it-yesterday I parked it for about 4 hrs after 15 min run to hunt spot- left it in gear and MIGHT have left key on -so when i got ready to leave i turned key and got old click-lights worked etc- motor went up & down-switched batteries with bud and got home- now today I'll check battery-and then what? I thought new PD's had a 20 amp charger on them? guess I'll buy a HOT START today- without bud it would have been a cold night for me and partner and two kids 10 & 11. Yea, might be dumb to leave key on BUT who ain't never done something like that?

 Re: Right forum? battery dies
If you left the key on & clutch engaged, you drained the battery. The clutch draws current continuously while engaged with key on.

 Re: Right forum? battery dies
Why did you leave it in gear? So it wouldn't roll off?
