 Blind Backing Material
What are you guys using for backing on your blinds. I have been told to use Sun shade material, but just scoured home depot and it is nowhere to be found. Apparently it is a seasonal item. What else are yall using?

 Re: Blind Backing Material
Find a fabric store. They have all types of camo material. I'm using a camo tent fabric. It's water proof and blocks the wind. I use it as backing for fast grass .

Theirs a few different ones their. Don't get the one that's the size of fishing line it gets tangled in everything and rips easy.

 Re: Blind Backing Material
^^ that stuff makes a great backing. I used it on my last blind and it was great for attaching camo material, raffia, and burlap to.

 Re: Blind Backing Material
fence screen can be ordered to size, with grommets. is a bit shiny so you'll have to spray it with a flat paint http://www.fencescreen.com/ConstructionLanding.aspxI have pheasant netting on that to attach my rafia grass: http://www.3tproducts.com/shop/pc/viewC ... Category=2

 Re: Blind Backing Material
I cut open burlap coffee bean sacs that our fabricators use as aprons in our fab shop. I'm gonna attach grass, cane, and whatever else I'm hunting around to it until I get some fast grass and raffia. I'm hoping it'll somewhat block the wind, plus I can practice my Portuguese or whatever they speak in brazil with the writing on the inside. Thus far, I have a total of $8 invested in my pop up blind for the brown paint I used on the frame. Everything else has come from work (conduit, fittings, hardware, burlap, etc...

 Re: Blind Backing Material
I used a canvas painters drop cloth and painted it. Not sure how durable it will be until after this season. I used it because it was lighter than a tarp.

 Re: Blind Backing Material
I used basically the same thing deltaduck did only mine was 36 inches tall i believe. Got it from Home Depot and it worked great for me. Just takes a but load of zip ties.
