What size motor do I need!?!?!?!

 What size motor do I need!?!?!?! I recently purchased a 15' 3" by 48" war eagle boat. It has a 40 hp mercury sea pro on it already, and war eagle says its rated for 40 hp. i am looking to upgrade to a short tail mud motor. i know the motor on it right now weighs 165 lbs, but what size short tail could it hold? like i said, its rated for a 40 hp, but i don't think that applies to short tails. What size motor should i put on it?
