 Push Pole Options
Anyone out there have any suggestions for a push pole. I had a stiffy hybrid on my old rig, just looking for something super durable. Also a shallow water anchor system. Thinking about the wang.

I have the Ric-Mar and really like it. I got all the accesories, which are unecessay, but the mud foot and hard bottom foot are great.

 Re: Push Pole Options
U can buy the foot for a push pole from hillside casting and weld it on a piece of aluminum pipe or u might could bolt it on steel pipe if u don't have access to weld aluminum. It should b the cheapest route. I think that is what uncle j sells also for not a bad price. I just like building my own stuff.

 Re: Push Pole Options
i use 1" emt its already 10ft so i buy 2 and just cut whatever length you want for the handle and foot and weld it up makes for a good cheap pushpole and if you cut 2 1ft pieces off those swimming noodles and wrap it around then wrap with electrical tape it will float

 Re: Push Pole Options
I had a fiberglass pole cat on my old flats boat. It worked good and I could pole all day and not get tired

 Re: Push Pole Options
I am a flyfishing guide in the panhandle of fla and l i stay on the push pole 200 days a year , saything that there are a few options ... Stiffy is the best by far my opinion they have a few different option the hybrid , graphite , graphite guide , and the extreme .. i use the graphite guide , but temple fork also makes a two piece push pole that is much cheaper than a stiffy and pretty durably my buddy has one on his duck boat/fishing boat ... There is also a company out of tampa florida called carbon marine and they make loop push pole there have been 2 piece construction , but i spoke with the owner the other day and it seems they will be making a one piece soon ...

 Re: Push Pole Options
Stiffy does make a good product, that's what my next one will be. My buddy has one and he sits on a poling platform looking for tarpon 10 hours a day in apolachicola. He puts it through hell and back
