 Re: 1648 loads
With a stage 1 on my 46 I've had 4 guys 12gals of petro and an ice chest (frog huntin) and got up pretty good. Keep most of the weight toward the center and off of the front and she'll go

 Re: 1648 loads
My 1648 alweld with bone stock 35 GTR 3 guys 12 dozen dekes 12 gallons gas and a dog and huntin gear bout 23-25. Wasn't no XR2001 getting up on step but it got the job done. I wish I had an 18' boat though, somethin that'll run a little flatter.

 Re: 1648 loads
I got some things in the works when I get enough time to do it as far as motor work goes...it's hard to get it to run flat with a load, even with as much in the front as I can get. And it's about 1 mph faster in the bottom hole...right now anyway. My prop is slap wore out and I need to shim the motor to get the transom angle right, I think that would help.

 Re: 1648 loads
The only thing in back with me is the battery, and that's because I don't really have room for it up front. I can bend my trim tabs and flatten it out but it loses MPH so I just quit d!ckjng with it and let it air out. Lol

 Re: 1648 loads
Too small motor for me , save money and get a gator tail you will not regret it , then put a Cam , new heads and exhaust then you won't want another mud motor

 Re: 1648 loads
I had a go devil boat 16-44 with a pd 36 (heads, carb, exhaust) and it did well with 3 folks, dog, and gear. We tried to put 7 people in it one time just to check it out. It planed but that's about it. I think it ran 15 with that load. I should be getting my dixie boat next week.
