 Beached Whale! 1860 on ICE
Whooped em this AM Booooyyyyyys.... Big old black necks came in like mallards. Busted 4" of ice to get to where we wanted to go and had my friend shitting his britches when I wound her up coming up the river in the shallows then I cut her hard and headed for the ice shelf. He almost shit when I brought it right out of the water. Also, I had 2 drake pintails in the decoys at daylight.................A rare sight around here in PA...tempting...lol

How's that Teflon work on ice?

Re: Beached Whale! 1860 on ICE
Its marine boat sealant to stop the leaks in my waders from dry rotting. I'm too cheap to buy new waders this late in the season. And yes, it works great! I might even use them again next year.
Teflon works great. This hull is in 100% condition still. My scrawny ass is able to push a full loaded boat back off an ice shelf with minimal effort. I broke out 4" of ice at my "slaughter bay" spot this am with no problems.

Re: Beached Whale! 1860 on ICE
Been there, done that. I especially hate it when you think you can make you way across an "ice island" form water to water and after sliding about 100 yards get stuck on high ground ice. Holding on to teh boat while pushing takes on a totally different meaning.
Good picture.

Whooped em again. Today was the last day and those geese came in like nothing short of unbelievable... I haven't seen hunting like that in years. I must have decoyed about 100 geese into my small spread this am. Too bad nobody was here to go with me.

Re: Beached Whale! 1860 on ICE
Yes It always rides there...Its actually a very nice spot for it. When I fill up if I spill anything it doesn't go in the boat. If I spring a leak (Which I dont know why that would happen) it runs into the river and kills the otters...and doesnt explode when someone flicks a cigarette!

Re: Beached Whale! 1860 on ICE
Nice job on the early season geese They are going to have a N.Y. Hunt this year! The new regs for early geese this year in Ont. are sweet the daily limit is going up to 10 and they have no possession limit. It might make it worth a drive to Canada. You can now hunt as long as you want and keep it all. I have found a lot of camp grounds are starting to let guys hunt there beaches as most are so full of shit no one wants to use them any more. Win win for hunters and camp ground owners.

Hunting golf courses sucks....no place to hide and there is always some idiot wanting to know "Whatcha doing?".
