 Re: Best Bowfishing bow?
I own 2 Browning Barracudas and so does one of my team mates. I love em and they are easy to shoot (no let off)! My other team mate doesn't like em and they have been known to have a limb split every now and then. With that being said Browning gives them a lifetime warranty if they split, so you can get brand new limbs if they ever do split. I would reccomend the AMS fish hawk or Browning barracuda. Oneida makes really good bowfishing bows but they run over $500 bucks.
Backwaterbowfishing.com sells the the barracuda for $225 bare bow. And the fish hawk is a little more!

 Re: Best Bowfishing bow?
The fish hawk is similar to the cuda as far as draw weight and it does not have let off. I would just reccomend turning the bow down to where she could pull it back.

 Re: Best Bowfishing bow?
When girls come bowfishing with me they use my PSE Kingfisher Recurve. Only about 30lbs of pull and you dont have to draw it all the way back to make a shot. i think my whole setup cost me around 200 bucks.

X2 on the AMS Fishhawk, which is just a Genesis Pro. U could go the cheeper route and buy an original Genesis and add the rest and AMS reel. They work fine for every thing but huge gar. I have 2 modified hunting compounds that I cranked down that I still use. They are older models with round, small cams. Hit the pawn shops on the cheep.

 Re: Best Bowfishing bow?
If you got the money go with the AMS fishhawk package. It's ready to go. We've been using them for a few years now with no problems. If you go the old hunting bow route, you have to get one with round cams otherwise it will be harder to snap shoot with aggressive cams like on todays bows.

 Re: Best Bowfishing bow?
Take a look at the browning discovery same bow as the cuda with lower poundage limbs. this is what my wife and daughter shoot. We also have a 2 cuda's and to be honest we all perfer the discovery's we get arows stuck in the mud alot with the cuda's and they are turned down quite a bit. Don't remeber exact price but I think a bare discovery is about 175 new which is a good bit less than the cuda or fishhawk

I like the baracuda and the fish hawk. I prefer the fish hawk a little though.

My best friend just got the LH browning. We are both left handed so we gonna try it out. It looks like a good bow

 Re: Best Bowfishing bow?
we have a ams and a cuda. my g/f much rathers the cuda b/c its lighter and smaller framed. i like the cuda better just cause i shoot better with it b/c the grip is smaller and i move from side to side of the boat. i need to make another trip before duck hunting season opens again.
