 craig's list
so it seems I have some friends (I won't name who) who think it's pretty redneck to buy used furniture from craig's list... what do you think?

 Re: craig's list
what ever works. I have bought stuff from there and sold a few things on there. Just have to be careful who you deal with. I would think that I would worry more about "friends" that called me trash than I would about buying something from CL

 Re: craig's list
You got to do what you got to do. I don't see anything wrong with it. If these forkers say they ain't never bought or been given used furniture its because they lived at home with mommy till they were 35.

 Re: craig's list
Blacklight = EWWwwwwwwww A friend called me once and said her Grandpa shot himself. She was saying they were going through all his stuff trying to decide what to do. She asked if I needed a couch. I had to ask if he shot himself on the couch. She said no, I got the couch. All good.

 Re: craig's list
Used "hard" furniture. Like wood, metal, etc. OK.
Anything with stuffing, not OK, unless you know the seller.

 Re: craig's list
I have bought and sold a boat off Craig's list. Bought a light fixture for my house. Helped a few friends find stuff.
I have a new camp and will buy half the crap I need for it off Craig's list, just not the couches and beds.

 Re: craig's list
Crews... go with the deal dude. Your young and newly married. Take her shoppin at the nice places in a few years when you get on your feet. A craiglist couch is fine for now if it keeps you out of debt.
Only bad thing I ever bought in the classifides was a pos skiff from some jackleg ratchett-ass in Texas.

 Re: craig's list
Had a roomate in college live on my couch a semester and fork his skank ole lady all the time on the couch and damn if he/she didn;t give that sucker bugs before he left. I had 2 couches and told him he was out if I ever caught em on the other one. Had to burn the SOB at the end, couldn;t even drop it off at the frat house for a freebie...

 Re: craig's list
That Craigs list is somethin' else. Huge !!! I ain't been lookin' at it very long ... but I did sell somethangs on it. Seems like 'bout the first 4 hrs you postess somthin' on there ... here comes the calls. I still ain't figured out how Craig makes his or why he does it.
In all honest Crews ~ Ifin' the item was designed fo somebody to use fo some kind of sexual activeity .... I don't thank I would put the purchase on it second hand. i.e., sofa, bed, chair, table, bar-stool, coffee table, nite stand, dresser-draws, cot, tho-down blanket, clothes washin' machine, clothes dryin' machine, tail-gate from pick-up truck, or the back seat from 4 doe car. Just use comin' since while you do yore shoppin'.

 Re: craig's list
I have bought and sold the majority of the things I own on Craigslist. So far my best buys have been my Pro-Drive boat and motor, a 1957 Kenmore stove, and a Dobro. I sold my last truck there after having the post up for 30 mins.
