Post Strangest mallard kill
I was reading the favourite call post and wasn't going to hijack it, but it got me thinking.

Mallards do some strange things, camo up hide everything and duck out for a piss or yelling at the dog and they cup up like theres nowhere else they want to be.

The strangest birds I shot so far this season was while my brother was paddling around the pond in a yellow inflatable yelling at each other where to move decoys. It happened twice a pair and a mob of 4, I shot 3.

Had one loss 3 of his mates and come straight back to get finished off.

Must be better storeys than them.

We don't have "real" mallards where I hunt.
The ones we get are usually strays from the suburbs. One of my blinds is a few miles down the bayou from a golf course. If we get skunked in the blind, we can always pick up a few bread ducks so we dont look so pitiful pulling up to the boat ramp at the end of the day.
