 Strangest mallard kill
I was reading the favourite call post and wasn't going to hijack it, but it got me thinking.
Mallards do some strange things, camo up hide everything and duck out for a piss or yelling at the dog and they cup up like theres nowhere else they want to be.
The strangest birds I shot so far this season was while my brother was paddling around the pond in a yellow inflatable yelling at each other where to move decoys. It happened twice a pair and a mob of 4, I shot 3.
Had one loss 3 of his mates and come straight back to get finished off.
Must be better storeys than them.

One of my uncles wanted to patent a decoy. The silhouette of a guy pissing with a bilge pump and hose supplying the motion

 Re: Strangest mallard kill
One of the farmers I know has a feedlot, and in December when there is deep snow the mallards get so thick that they land in his feedlot and sometimes eat right out the feedbunks. Its really crazy. I asked him if he wanted to go hunt one afternoon in a nearby field and he said we should just sit in the feedlot that is full of cows because he was wating for someone to deliver a part. I thought it would spook the cows, so he left his big 4WD tractor running and we leaned up against the tires and killed a full limit in a half hour or so. Didn't even make the cows flinch.
After I got home I started thinking about if it was baiting and called the local Game warden with a "what if somebody" story. He said it was legal because the feed was there was for agricultural purposes.
