Post interesting GDSD performance
Last night I challenged my motor in some of that thick tall rope like grass in lake bouef. I was honestly shocked that the three bladed prop cut through it with not much issue. On the other hand when in the thick grass under water, the trim tabs kept hanging up in the grass. My tabs are bent up a bit to keep the motor in the water. The one great thing about this motor is how easy it is to pull out of the water when needed. This allowed me to really slow the boat down and get to frogs in very tough spots. I put the tiller handle up and I stood on top the bench seat so that I can get a good light out in front the boat. It was remarkably easy to drive in this position. It is a shame this motor does not have neutral because the overall performance and reliability is nice. I have had it for a few months but this was the first time I really pushed the motor to the limits. I am still going to end up selling it in a few months and buying a GTR or a PD but overall not a bad motor at all. This mud motor is far better than the mud boat I had previously.

Since it seems that most GDSD owners just keep them around for a few months (till they learn that they actually made a mistake) COCO should just open a rental place for his equipment.

I find that most people bashing GDSD have never ran one. July will be year number 3 of mine and no intentions of switching brands.
