 Hardhat Spotlight >>--help me out-->
I've been informed that I need to look into getting a light for frog gigging. I looked at a few online and feel like they cost too much for what they are. Anyone on here made there on? Worth the trouble or just buy one and be done with it? For $65 I can get this. but I'm the kinda person that takes pride in being able to say I built it or put it together when someone asks "where'd you get it?" So I'm leaning more towards assembling my own. I found this info that has part numbers etc listed for bulbs and all http://www.drundel.com/hunt/hardhatlight/Will a full brim hardhat like this work? I can get one of these for free. All the ones I see that are already assembled look like a normal hard hat.

You can get a 30 watt flood bulb that is the same size. I've heard people say they like it better for froggin, but I've stuck with the 100 watt one.

They have changed some of their models a bit, but here are some locations you can buy them.
This is the exact model I have, but in a 28v model.

 Re: Hardhat Spotlight >>--help me out-->
barnes, you broke down and bought a Brighteyes! , they're the best, been using them for 20 years. Great little husband and wife shop. Call them and tell them what you want is the best thing to do, you can get stuff they don't advertise online. I don't think they're internet savy
Most people think they're way too expensive though but I had one light and battery used and abused for 17 years without a problem, still works today. Got the new super 6 though and the halogen has been put to rest...

 Re: Hardhat Spotlight >>--help me out-->
Will I bought the light last summer and yes, it is bad ass. When you frog with it, it seems the frogs bellies literally glow white! I get the same response from buddies when they hear I spent $350 for a hard hat light, but then when they put it on and test it the response changes quickly to "Where can I get one".

 Re: Hardhat Spotlight >>--help me out-->
I hog hunted damn near every night when I was younger so it was justified, and saved up to get one, now I spend more nights in my boat than days... That super 6 is a bad m'fr and can use it all weekend without recharging it on high. I don't like being tied to a 12v and can't get out of the boat or get tangled on wires and shit. These lights become part of you and never get in your way. To each his own.
