 2013 35gtr 17x54
Welp I got me one about 2 days ago. Probably the best running mud motor I have ever drove. Absolutly loved it. Took it to dam b never once got the some bitch stuck. Runs like a scalded ape and its bone stock. Can't wait to put a carb and a marshmellow exhaust hopefully right before teal season.
Running through the normal dam b shit I hit 31mph (found that sweet spot) Open water I was about 28mph.
One question though. Is there anyway you can put a second pin on the back? Like move the one that it comes with down a hole and then put a second pin in the middle hole?

What kind of gains do you think you will see with just carb and exhaust?

Yeah but if I'm going to do the heads I might as well do a cam as well right?

What I figured. Got the damn thing already open might as well do that too. I'm probably going to wait till it has about 40 hrs then start doing all that internal stuff.

When did you have to start opening the block to do heads.

Tuck I'd wait on the internals if I was u, do ur other mods first and see how u like it, then if u want more go ahead and build the bottom end. Cam doesn't take long to install. If u plan on doing rods and pistons and such, while u have the cover off and the motor torn down, then would be a good time to do it.

Heads, exhaust, and carb will make a world of difference! I would start with that. You will not be disappointed.

 Re: 2013 35gtr 17x54
Really nice clean running motor with that combo, then if u want more instal u a cam, the carb and heads will compliment it nicely and give it the air and fuel to get the full potential of the cam. Then ud have a beast of a motor besides the rods and pistons. Then it's fine tuning to get the most out of it, playing with spring pressure reaching different rpms and so on

 Re: 2013 35gtr 17x54
I was very pleased with the performance of the 35 GTR. Folks said I would not see 30 mph on a stock motor with an 1854 3/16 bottom.
Well I was very close to that. 35 GTR is a hell of a motor.

 Re: 2013 35gtr 17x54
Thanks for all the good info you guys. Ill have to start putting back some more cash back. I have a feeling I'm going to get wrapped up in this motor pretty good. Lol Sorry it took me so long to reply I've been caged up on this drilling rig for the past few days. But I really couldn't ask for a better rig. No doubt.

 Re: 2013 35gtr 17x54
Glad yall got it squared away. You can go to OCBM in Lumberton & get a 3/8x10 bolt & small hitch pin to make the quick pin. Cost you about $7 total. I might even have a spare. Holler at me when you get chance & we'll go ride

I looked hard at the rig. Looks like it was everything he said it was. Glad you are happy with your new rig!
