Guys,
It is a small world, my mother in law has known Sheldon Gecker and the Gecker family for over 15 yrs. These guys are stand up, and know there sheet about these engines. I realize some of you may be frustrated, but I can tell you from the local guys here in florida that the Gecker crew are top notch....

Here is a post from unitedwaterfowlers....

The bugs are worked out. We have shipped 96 carbs in the last month and have had only a couple issues. Of course we don't want any issues. We will be asking more information on carbs when people call so be prepared with model, type number and whether you have a fuel shut off switch at the bottom of the fuel bowl.

Ronnie, called you but got voice mail. I left a voice mail and sent you a message also.

Thanks

Post Re: Modded B&S Carb From Gecker
this is a review of a guy who has a 3 man hide......I think you will like it....

"I have the prototype dual exhaust on my PD. It added a solid 2MPH more after all of the other upgrades. I went from a average 18 to 20 MPH with a Hunt load to 26MPH with a bit above average ( 4 guys, say close to 850 lbs). By myself the other day 30.1, 12 gals of fuel 2 batteries and trolling motor.

The exhaust is loud but about the same a stock when you're sitting on that side of the motor. When you're at WFO you can't tell the difference. Between the new upgrades, exhaust ect, Steel Flex and the 3 blade prop it halls a$$ and it's smooth and easier to drive."

If hes running that with a 27 on a GatorTrax Barge it would be a sight to see.

I am completly happy with my order through Gecker! Sheldon is good people. However, I really don't think they expected this kind of response when they launched in to the Mud Motor market. 96 Carbs in a month! And they are shipping them out before the cores are recieved! Come on, you would have to be crazy to think there were not going to be any hicups along the way. Even with the delay they are still shipping in 1-2 weeks. How many other aspects of the Mud Motor/boat buisness can claim that kind of turn around time.

Keep up the good work Sheldon! Look forward to Phase 2 of what you have to offer!

Steve,
My bad on the copy, I wanted to get some speed numbers on here asap. I tried to link our site but it didnt work- My apologies!

I do admit, when I have the funds, I will be having Gecker do the same to my PD.

Well SS those are really good gains but that was alot more than just the carb, not knocking the mans work but for now I was wondering what gains could be seen with just the carb.So if you could give a review on the carb and intake before the cam and head work that would be great, but if all the work was done at the same time then it is hard to tell what gains were from the carb/intake alone.

Believe me no one wants this outfit to fall on its face and they have been in this business for quite awhile now.It is the rocky start that they got off to coupled with shipping errors has left a sour taste with some of the folks on here.

If you can give me good performance at a reasonable rate I'm all for it.

Guys, sorry for the delay! Rain and work has got me FUBAR this week... Seems all the people in Houston decided to lease space all at once! I should have this thing on there tomorrow its been raining and will be raining today until the weekend... I am postponing my voyage to Gator-Tail for the weekend in order to give MMT what they want... Some honest feedback and performance numbers / videos of the stage 2 carb that Gecker offers... Stay tuned I'll probably just start a new post as I'll detail the installation, so people can see how easy it really is...

Thanks Stephen for postin info on the work we did to your boat.

35GTR05 is James Mendoza from Nederland, TX who purchased a carb from us some time ago. Prior to us telling him about this board, he had no idea it existed.

Thanks

I'm just waiting for a couple of reviews, and for after season, as don't have time now. If they sent out 90+ carbs, what do you think pd or gtr or mb would have done?? BO BO BO BACK ORDER!! It seems they are a long time performance shop for air cooled engines, and are trying to help us (v-twin power) as people are also using them in the jacked up golf carts. Just cuz they aint in so. LA don't mean they are a bad shop. Just remember how many problems ALL aftermarket suppliers have at the beginning. I don't hear anyone badmouthin all there shitty cams, broken exhaust, etc.It appears they got an overwhelming order, and they are bustin there ass to keep up. Seem to be doing pretty well. my 2 cents.
i'm in Nebraska, and not affiliated with ANY of them in any way. JMO

Hey Sheldon. Still have not seen anything on my refund. I know you said it posted for the second time last friday but I haven't received anything on my end so far. I would appriciate it if you checked into that again. If you have any info I'll be happy to call the folks handling the charge transactions myself if needed. That is if its someone other than you. The money came right out my account without any problems so I really don't understand what the holdup is putting it back. A check mailed to me would take care of it if the reverse card transactions are not working. Thanks, Ronnie.
