Most cutters are not made to plunge unless you are half with of insert. But sometimes you have to stay in the cut to save time !!!!!! I do cut some stuff whils z axis is locked and rotate with 4th axis and cut like that. But not to often

I deal with a ton of mfg at work. Mainly sales, quoting, prints, etc. I never get to see the machinging side of things since my Fastenal shop is in Winona, MN. One of the largest in the country I believe - 225 CNCs, a few 4 and 5 axis, cold heading division, water jet, 10 EDMs, you name it we've got it. I would love to learn about the machining side of it. I'm going up in September to learn more about it. But y'all are peaking my interest right now since I have no idea what you're talking about.

That factory sits on a marsh that old man Schwab filled in. I had a key to the gate that led to that marsh, hunted the hell outta that with my old 18 hp gdlt. Worked on almost all of those factories over there. Sometimes I miss the scenery in that town if ya know what I'm talking about.

There not dumb up here, we have so many skyblasters/duck commander wannabe's/douche bags the ducks wise in a day or two. But after the first few weeks they are all out chasing ditch goats and it gets better. Still a lot of hunters but the ones left have some ethics.
