Company I worked for did maintance/building for a plastic company. 80+ extruders running 24-7 would walk in @ 6 am and it was 130 degrees on the floor with temps up to 150.

We got skeeters that will bang a turkey standin flat footed.

It ain't even been hot this year

its been in the 90's with the heat index of a little over 100 here in SC. It ant even hot yet. Come August we will have a heat index of like 120. We have been lucky thanks to all the rain but at the same time has not helped with the humidity. today wasn't too bad. high of 95 with heat index of 105 and humidity at 61%. Thanks to all the rain the skeeters have been flat out awful. We got a small swamp right behind the house that normally holds no more than a foot or 2 of water in it's deep spots. As of a few days ago it had a good 3 feet in some low spots and the rain keeps on commen. The marsh misquotes have been the worst we have ever seen this year. If you don't know what they are they are like 10 times the size of a regular sissy skeeter and bite like a horsefly!!! Dang therma-cell attracts them things it seems.

You'll never wear waders again. Water is like bath water right now, even the trout streams are warm. 91 here today but will be nice this weekend with high of 72 and upper 40's for lows. Back to normal. Been getting any turtles? We got some nice ones last few days but have yet to hit my good spots due to high water but it's dropping about a foot a week.

One keeper this week. Pulled my sets today because of the storms tomorrow. Don't wanna lose the hoops or drown undersized turtles which I've been getting many of. We'll go out with hook and line (manned setlines) on Sat night, hopefully we do better.

Most of mine have been over the size limit. Had one wed that measured 22. The ones that have been under are just by a c- hair, not many shorts. Hoping to run up the creek behind the house sat and set up for the weekend. We were bullhead fishing last night and if you got close to shore the skeeters would rape you, had to stay out on the main lake.

I've never been impressed with the Thermacells. I have 3 of them and have tried them multiple times and still get chewed up.
