Re: Rust on gun I have a SBE II that I lost last day of the season. Was in about 2 ft of water for about a month then dried out for a week then water came back up for another 2 weeks. Cleaned the gun off with gas and took a plastic wire brush to the whole gun. All the coating is gone off of the inside parts bust as long as you keep oil on it it shouldn't rust again.
