 Re: Blowout on platform
Way back when i was out there we had a driller that always did drills for the floor hands. It was crazy how often they did it but everyone damn sure knew what to do if things went south.

 Re: Blowout on platform
Man makes me wonder some times why I even go out there having a family and all. I finished up my BOSIET training today and they shipping my ass off to Africa for 5 weeks. I hate to see stuff like this especially bc I work on DEEPWATER rigs, but I glad there were no injuries/deaths.
Sent from my GTR...yep, it can do this too.

 Re: Blowout on platform
I was in the refinery. It dangerous. You put your life in the hands of other people and it can go very bad in a nanosecond. I've luckily worked my way up and out of the refinery. Thank god they all got off. I'm not sure how many more of these or the loss life we can take.

 Re: Blowout on platform
Just watched the video on gCaptain..... In response to the earlier question about what was splashing in the water, that would be debris from down the well bore. Rocks and substrate.... (mostly) not parts of the rig.

 Re: Blowout on platform
I live in a office. Outside the blast area. As long as my gasoline blenders dont go up in flames I'm good. I gave up the fire n rescue team yrs ago but have a few good stories about that. Lol

Well looks like I will get a first hand look at this on the morning. I'm going out there to stand by and be ready to kill the well.
