 Arkansas teal opener
Figured I'd start a thread or the Arkansas guys are are teal hunting tomorrow. I don't have much time to do as much scouting as I'd like due to work so I wasn't planning on going. But a teenage kid that's likes to hunt asked if I'd take him since none if his family hunts so I decided I'd give it a shot. We probably won't kill much but I bet he will have a blast, anyway post your pics here in the morning.

 Re: Arkansas teal opener
I missed this opener too due to work. I'll go mid week. According to another member it sounds like it might be a circle jerk due to lots of ppl anyway so I'm not really forked up about missing it. I'm off the opener of big duck season so its all good.

 Re: Arkansas teal opener
There wasn't many people out today, killed a few birds and left. There wasn't as many flying as I had hoped.

 Re: Arkansas teal opener
Not many birds, and a shit pile of people. Had some slap dicks come it at daylight, with their led light bar still on, setup 100 yards away, and hide their boat 60 yards away. Proceeded to shoot a wood duck, one large white bird, and 3 teal.
We shot 5 teal and caught 72 frogs. Thank the lord for the frogs. Got beat to the spot I wanted to hunt (@ 2 a.m.), and the people there had 9 guns and killed around 18.

 Re: Arkansas teal opener
We have a poor numbers here as well. The usuall areas that hold big numbers are only holding a handful so far. Hell 3 weeks ago I was seeing more birds than I'm seeing now. I may skip the opener since I'm on nights next weekend and skip the ding dong parade at the launches.

My fishing pardner is from Swifton,Ark. He is a diesel mech that works out of a service truck. He said while working on several pumps he has seen quite a few big bunches. Some flocks were on the river.

 Re: Arkansas teal opener
Not seeing much here. We were covered up in birds this time last year. Two days before the season 95% flew out. Ended up going down south and caught up to them.
