I ordered the Banded deluxe slough stool off eBay today, wondering if anyone has one and how you like it? I have back problems and sitting on a marsh stool for hours is no fun. I may rig up the post off my old one to this one for a support to keep from tipping backwards so I can lean back.

I got it. The back rest gives minimal support. It is more comfortable than the avery marsh stool and the seat spins with is nice

I don't really see how the backrest would help any. I have marsh seats and you can't lean back any at all in them. Since you have back problems I would try to build a tripod or something with a real backrest so you can lean back. But it would have to fold up to store in a boat!

UPDATE-

I received my Banded stool today, very dissapointed to say the least. Every ad I read about it said the seat swivels-it doesnt. The 'backrest' is merely a piece of fabric that acts as nothing but a wind blocker for your butt. I dont even see how they can call it a backrest. It looks like they were going for the concept of those seats that fold and use your body weight to hold up the backrest, but the straps dont go at an angle far enough forward for that to work. To top it off, the return policy is to send it back to the manufacturer, not through who I bought it from. So now Im stuck with a stool that has less padding in the seat than my Academy one does, with cheaper hardware. the seat doesnt even fold down, so carrying it using the supplied strap is akward. Just thought Id give yall a heads up, wishing I would have started this thread before I bought it.

Yeah but I'd rather do that to the better quality stool (academy) than this one. For it to be useable I'd have to replace the seat foam in it also, it really is that bad.

That's horrible, I'd be pissed if I'd have spent money on it to get that shit quality. Send it back and tell em to get Fukked.

Mount u a swivel on a pole rod and get u s seat from academy to put on it, like a boat seat

I got in touch with who I bought it from about returning it. I get a refund no problem, but I lose my shipping charges and I gotta pay to ship it back. I'll prolly just keep it.
