Made our way out to the delta this morning for our first hunt of the season. Despite the bad reports we went out hoping for the best. We weren't disappointed. I brought my cousin and he got to shoot his 1st duck and it was also my pups 1st hunt and she got to make a couple successful retrieves. The birds decoyed very well and even had one land I the decoys under the mojo at 1st light that inlet my cousin shoot off the water. We didn't get both our limits but overall it was a very successfull hunt.

Good looking pup and congrats on the hunt. I didn't even go. From what I heard, the area I was going to go, was a bust.

Good lil hunt..after all the bad luck you had before opening, looks like it turned around for you.. bet lil cuz was happy to go and hunt with you.

Man I promise you the dog is well fed. Four cups of diamond lamb and rice formula a day and she stays lean like that. She's not skinny by any means just very lean and muscular. I've had multiple people tell me she looks real skinny in these photos.

Chaz, you right. I needed a good hunt after all that crap. Glad I finally got it all worked out. Hopefully I'm good for the season now with the bull.
