1. 80 grit sandpaper aluminum & bottom of bilge pump 2. Black 5200 Works great. |

Re: Your solution to securing bilge pump to boat bottom? Mine is plumbed overboard via a PVC pipe that I heat bent to conform to where it runs then 90 degree over the transom. I wire tie the PVC along side my motor mount. Has worked well for years.

Re: Your solution to securing bilge pump to boat bottom? 5200 is gunna make a mess when you have to take that cheap bilge pump out to put a new one in.
I always just kept one under the deck in a bag, hook up some alligator clamps to the battery and stick the hose over. Re: Your solution to securing bilge pump to boat bottom? I broke a piece of 1/8 however big the pump is square and added 3/4 lip broke up with the side. Put the bottom of the square piece on the bottom of the boat and run the 3/4 up the side. Before I welded it down I took the screen off of the pump and riveted it to the piece of metal. Tack it in good and if the screen ever breaks just take a chisel and break the tacks off. I've did this to 3 boats and I'm pretty rough on my stuff and nothing has ever broke on them.
