Post 870 Choke Question
I've googled the intranets to no avail. I want to put a Full steel/lead from my 1100 in my 870. Anyone know if I can use the chokes for my Remington 100 in an 870?

If it screws in there I see no problem but don't take my word for it. I'm no expert.

Remington did have one choke for the 1100, 1187 and 870 but I think the newer autos have a different one now. If you have both guns, I assume you have a choke for each, can't you measure them and compare them to see?

You can use it, 1100 and 870 have the RemChoke threads I think the versa max and newer guns have a different thread pattern.

It'll be fine, my brother has a 1100 an I use his choke in my 870 at times without a hitch.

Post Re: 870 Choke Question
You're fine. When you buy a choke for a Remington at WalMart, etc., your choices are Full/Mod/IC in 12 or 20. The gun isn't even listed on the choke package and my buddy with an 870 used to borrow my 11-87 chokes all the time.

This was 15 years ago but they couldn't make changes to the compatibility of the chokes without stamping it all over the choke package if they kept the same thread pattern, for liability reasons. If it screws in on the same threads you're good to go.
