Looking to purchase a 35hp Go-devil surface drive. I see on their website it is $40 to have the motor crated for shipping. Has anyone had a go-devil shipped to an area near southeast Michigan? Just trying to get an idea how much it will cost to have it shipped up here. Or if anyone knows of any Go-Devil dealers in Michigan or NW Ohio.

I would call them - during business hours - to get accurate shipping rate. I would est 400-490 to residential. unless you have room for a large truck and a forklift or forks for skid-steer then you might save some.
when you call ask if they have a dealer up by you that could also help cut down on shipping costs.

There is a go devil dealer "Bi-state" marine in Erie, MI, just north of Toledo. They only had ONE demo motor in stock when I spoke to them a month or so ago.

There is a Go devil dealer by the name of Ron Paul (not the politician/doctor) with motors IN STOCK in east central Wisconsin: 920-928-3499. I spoke to him about the same time as I did the Bi-state dealer. He sounded like a real nice guy. Give him a call.

To ship from Baton Rouge to your part of Michigan would be around $250.00 via u-ship.com. IF you end up with a surface drive I would budget $300.00.

Ordered the SD yesterday. I pick it up on Friday. Super excited!!

Congrates on the new motor

Took the family out in my go devil today. We caught a bunch of fish then took it for a spin in the veggies. We had a blast. It runs outstanding

Ran the rig a bit yesterday. Loved how it performed. Was running 2 guys, fishing gear, full tank of gas, starting battery and deep cycle battery, and trolling motor and was getting speeds of 24-26 in deep water. Now I'm ready to go find some mud!!
