Re: getting ready to use a oil-less deep fryer, LOL
We fried one in peanut oil and put the other in one of these. Injected exactly the same, the only difference was the one I put in the oiless frier was also rubbed down with peanut oil before it was put in to cook. They both came out exactly the same except the crispyness on the deep fried is a little thicker than it is in the big easy. Not sure if it was better but the big easy turkey was a sell out and the deep fried had left overs.
Timing for one Turkey is about the same if you include the time it takes to heat up the oil. If you are doing multiple turkeys then you either need to wake up early or have 2 big easy cookers. It took about 2:20 for a 12 pound turkey.
I have also cooked 2 chickens, fresh corn and a pork butt in this thing. All came out great.
Also, there is a drip pan at the bottom. Those turkey drippings make a hell of a gravy.
For 130 bucks its worth the investment.

Re: getting ready to use a oil-less deep fryer, LOL
I just bought it, assembled it last night in 5 minutes and am going to be cooking a couple of chickens tonight on it. Going to do a dry rub for extra crispiness and some creole butter injection in the bird. I didn't have time to make a brine but I'll let yall know how it does in this freezing temp. Pics to come
