 Squeaky Mcclain Trailer!
Where is the squeaking coming from? I've sprayed WD40 everywhere and that sucker still squeaks and it's freaking annoying.

 Re: Squeaky Mcclain Trailer!
Yea but if I was u and really wanted to fix it, loosen it up and shoot some grease where they meet then snug it down. I tightened mine and it help but still a little squeak. Drives me crazy. Stupid for not getting the aluminum trailer.

 Re: Squeaky Mcclain Trailer!
My old mcclain trailer did the same thing and aggravated the crap out of me. Wound up being a UHMW style sleeve on the rear leaf spring bolt that was worn where it contacted the frame of the trailer, and was allowing for metal-to-metal concact of the bolt and frame itself. Was horrific sounding when going over a bridge or somewhere with a concrete guardrail that would allow it to echo. oil or grease of any type didnt last for long at all.

 Re: Squeaky Mcclain Trailer!
I got it fixed! I bought some Lucas Oil chain lube and soaked the slide axle assembly with emphasis on the areas with the flat bar spacers they use and BAM! Not a squeak at all. I used the chain lube because I wanted something in a spray can that was thick, and the Lucas Oil has FOAMING action, lol. Worked great.

 Re: Squeaky Mcclain Trailer!
First thing you did wrong was try and use WD40 to fix the problem. About the only thing WD40 might fix is your refrigerator door inside your house. Instead of wasting money on WD40 try getting some silicone spray for cheaper and if used in the right environment it will work better.
