Re: University of Alabama Chi Omega Sorority most racist
I've been watching a lot of Netflix documentaries lately. I watched Last a White Night and one about the murder of the three freedom riders killed in Mississippi, two of whom were Jewish young men from New York. It's almost unbelievable what happened in Mississippi and a Alabama in the 60's. It's hard to believe this was America. The rest of the south was not far behind either. In Luoisiana the hotbed of racial tension was in Baton Rouge where the predominant religion was Protestant based. In Acadiana and New Orleans where Catholicism was predominant the transition to a more integrated society was much smoother as the tensions were softened by the commonality of the religion. And, in Acadiana the transition was also easier because there was a common experience between the African American and the Acadians: they had both been shunned and put upon by Protestant factions and governments.

Re: University of Alabama Chi Omega Sorority most racist
Pretty crappy that she put that on social media or that she even thought about it, really. The sorority should have cut her loose.
However, did her saying this make any more black kids in the inner cities safer from getting shot? Did it make any more blacks go out and get jobs. Or anymore get training or learn how to better themselves. By the sorority expelling her did it help any black kids be safer in the inner city? Did it help any get jobs? Did it help any learn any more.
Nothing happened by her saying this or not saying this. She hurt no one. And though she should have been expelled by the group, blacks need to rise up so that no matter what anyone says, it will not even make sense.
If this would have been black sorority and a black kid saying this, nothing would have happened. Because white people are not affected by what someone says. It would be so easy for black people to join in the prosperity of this country to make their lot in life better. But they just do not do it. It is only a decision and everything else will follow. I hope they do, when they do we will all be better off and racism will shrink.
