Yea but you gotta think. First you come to them crying about people claiming a blind and telling you that you have to go somewhere else to hunt. Then one of the blind owners come in crying to them because they been hunting the same bkind forever and that gets taken away from them.Then law enforcement gets involved on the water because everybody's crying that they were there first. Then the school board has to get involved again so says to hell with it nobody can hunt at all.

During low water, there isn't much water left in Indian Bayou WMA over which to hunt. The North Flats stay flooded except during extreme low water. If this course of action can expand the public hunting area another 640 acres some hunting pressure will be reduced a little and every bit counts. First come first serve is not a panacea and there are good alternative that are fair, but for now its the least objectionable. I plan to redouble my efforts to come up with a novel and better solution. I have not had time to work on my online solution in a while. All of my Harvard MBA volunteers have graduated and don't have time to help anymore.

Hey dean when your done with this can you work to get all navigable waters in La wether public or private open for fishing? Fish are state property and therefore should be able to be pursued by people with a state fishing license.

School board meeting at which hunting regulations for Section 16 property will be heard is Wednesday November 5th, 2014 at 5 pm at the St.Martin Parish School Board office located on Corporate, in Breaux Bridge, La. Those of you who wish to speak on the issue should grab a public comment card from the clerk, fill it in and submit it.

Dean if u keep on, I can tell u what will happen. I've leased sb land on and off through the years, and I know exactly first hand how this will go down. Right now it's public land. That's all u need to hear. Go build u a blind and hunt it. That's different than trying to go hunt u a blind that's built. In the end, they will silent bid the entire section 16 u r referring to, and u will never be able to touch it. There's section 16 here that go up to 18k a yr with a 5 yr term

Why are east carroll, west Carroll and morehouse parishes excepted I have no frickin' idea. I suppose the votes of those legislators were needed to pass the law so they were bought by excluding them. Maybe they had hunting leases in place for themselves or their supporters.
