 Fishing around chalmette Well now duck seasons over time to do a little fishing, as you all know I'm new to this greater New Orleans area... But I do have my boat here and been duck hunting salvador wma. Iv got a baby sitter down in chalmette so I'm down there often picking up and dropping off my son. Heard there's some good fishin in the area, anybody got
Some tips or advice where I can fish outta my gator tail thanks in advance!

Re: Fishing around chalmette Any place you can drop your boat in the water you can catch fish. It's not to hard just takes a little time to pick up on the odds and ends but don't over think it just fish.

Re: Fishing around chalmette Their bottom fishing those trout on plastic....3/8 to 1/2 oz jig head with a matrix shad. Feel the bottom, hop it up, and let it fall. They will hit in on the fall. If no bite, repeat. Lol. Not the fastest pace action, but it's how to catch trout this time of year.
Reds are easier to catch right now, and more fun for the youngsters.
