Re: Anyone with a Stage 1 35 GDSD??
Maybe Bayou Boy could help. Some of those boys from down his way were running 35GDSD's with a mikuni and exhaust with good gains. Their rigs ran very well for their size, I was impressed with what they had gotten out of the motors.

Re: Anyone with a Stage 1 35 GDSD??
Ive got a single mikuni and dual exhaust on mine, it brought rpm's up to 4250 from 3900 by myself and its much nicer to drive and has better performance. Where you located?

Houston area. What prop are you using. Does the 3 blade still work @ that rpm?

Re: Anyone with a Stage 1 35 GDSD??
my props a bit used and im only gettin 27.5 or so but i tried a GD and a MB 2 blade and both vibrated too much for my liking so i stick with the 3. plus i go fishin and bowfishing so the 3 blade helps when there is a good load

I personaly dont see what a few minor mods would hurt no matter what.

Re: Anyone with a Stage 1 35 GDSD??
I have 16x60 with GDSD modded with carb, mudbuddy adaptor, cam, exhaust, heads decked .050. Perfect conditions runs 33 mph and steady 31mph. More important than the top end is the additional load carrying ability, 27 to 28 mph with blind, 3 adults, dog, and gear. Also more power in heavy vegatation. Happy with mods, thinking about intake, any suggestions? I use the factory 3 blade prop.

Re: Anyone with a Stage 1 35 GDSD??
Mine was blowing out with any prop after my mods. Had to weld some trim tabs on it and tweak them till the prop stayed down. Did a stage 3 and was running 37.something when the head blew!

Re: Anyone with a Stage 1 35 GDSD??
I've got the EVT intake, Mikuni, and EVT exhaust on my 35 GDSD. On my 16x56 i'll run about 38.5 or so. I think its time for a new prop, but so far i've been very happy with it.

OOPS!!!! That was a typo. I meant 28.5. Anything over thing 30 MPH, its still on the trailer, hooked to the truck.

Re: Anyone with a Stage 1 35 GDSD??
Alot of people have told me that my rig isn't running what it should. But its what i get out of her. Not sure what else to try, except maybe a new prop.
