Post Pass a loutre
A few of us are thinking about making a 3 day hunt at pass a loutre for our first time within the next few weeks. We'll be staying at one of the campgrounds on the wma. Ive hunted off baptiste for the past few years so i know about the river and how dangerous it can be. Well have at lesst 2-3 boats going. Other than the basic camping and hunting gear is there anything else we should plan for? If anyone has some insight for me I would really appreciate it.

Yeah. I would stay out of the river travel right now. Unless you're duck hunting out of a bay boat or offshore boat. Even then I wouldn't wanna hit all the trees and shit that's floating your way

It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face.

We spent four days down there for second split opener. It's not all that bad of a trip as long as you know your boat and your limits.

Means you get down there 2 mph faster and come back 3 mph slower.

^^^^ this!

The fog can be impenetrable! And yes...there are ships coming and going that make you wonder if the river is wide enough! LOL
