Post Electric Fuel pump??
I'm going to install the e pump I bought a while back in my 32 Prodrive

Here's my setup, two tanks up front, 5/16 line to the primer bulb, then into the fuel/water sep, then to a inline fuel filter, then to the stock 32 fuel pump, then to carb!

Where's the best place to put the e pump? Was thinking I'd take the primer bulb out and put it in its place!

And do you by pass the stock pump? Is so, how? Remember this is a 32 Prodrive and it has the mech pump that goes thru the block!

After your primer, but before your inline filter. You can bypass the pump if you like or you can pump through it.

Fuel is filtered better under pressure than under vaccum. I say Primer, Water Separator, Pump, In line filter. Just my opinion.

I'm on my second facet cube. Nice pump. Different motor, hence the second one. The other one is still working fine.

I got the Mr Gasket a while back! Was running the river last weekend, mine would start to loose speed, ran ok on like 3/4 throttle, then would eventually die! Could pump the bulb, and it'd run for a while then eventually die again! Had more problems outta mine in the last couple years than ever!!!

Mine is 6 inches from the tank. I don't even have to squeeze the bulb.

You guys that are putting the e pump inside the boat, are you wiring it to its own switch or are you wiring it to the ignition. If you're wiring it to the ignition, what wire?
I got the mr gasket pump from oreillys and it's pretty big. Can't figure on anywhere to mount it on the motor

I just need to find a hot wire coming off the ignition and mount this giant fuel pump on the side of the motor I guess?

Try the yellow wire. It's typically a keyed accessory circuit. Worked on mine.

Filter than pump for me. I also use a relay going to pump from switch.that way I have the voltage I need and am not taking it away from another circuit. Also use a oil pressure switch wired in. Do that if pressure goes away pump shuts off. Wire size is very important. Especially with a long run. And cold temps.

Typically it is the Gray wire on briggs harness.

Does the fuel pump HAVE to be 12" from the tank? I would rather mount it on the inside of the transom so I don't have to run all that wire.

When I ran that Mr Gasket pump I mounted it on the transom. Make sure you throw a spare in the boat. Those things seem to take a dump at the absolute worst time. Also, the pressed in threads will seep fuel over time. I never ran the facet pump but always wanted to try it. Sold the boat before I got around to it.

What's the outlet pressure on the stock Briggs EFI lift pump? Seems like that would be maybe a more reliable solution.

That's what I was thinking. Gotta be less than 5. I'd give it a try. I don't think they're real expensive either.

Low psi pumps for efi aren't exactly the norm. Both the Kawa and the Kohler use something in the 25ish range. So it doesn't exactly "gotta be" less than 5 lol
I only say that so you confirm before you go buy pumps.
