 New Powerhead or Not Looking for thoughts and options from the guys with much more knowledge than me.
I have a 29hp Kawasaki on an HD Sport short frame. The fella I bought the boat from picked up a frame that had a blown Powerhead and put the Kawi on it. New prop, new belt, new gearing, handle, etc.
The Kawi was wet fouling plugs, the engine coolant sensor was bad, now it is dry fouling plugs frequently. Been chasing that with zero success. Besides that, when it's running, it feels grossly underpowered. It's an 1844 GoDevil boat.
I could pick up a new Briggs Powerhead but the best "deal" I can find is around $2,400. Does the Kawi have any value to offset that cost? Sit tight and wait on a used Powerhead to pop up on the forum? This doesn't seem to happen a lot.
