 Valve cover question Last summer I brought my motor to gator tail to get some worked heads put on. Well the first time I took the valve covers off to set my lash I notice one of the bolts for the valve cover was about a quarter inch longer then the rest and when I put the cover back on it was stripped out. I ran it like that for a while and I was able to keep it tight but I eventually strip one of the other bolts from over tightening. My question is has anyone ever helicoiled those wholes? Or can I tap it to the next biggest size?

Re: Valve cover question Was it the breather side? And then it started leaking oil? Same thing just happened with mine.

Re: Valve cover question Yes it is the breather side, and it has a little oil at the corner but it's not dripping or running down yet
