Post Mods completed !!!! wow !!!!
Hey guys I finally got all the mods done and started it today it sounds like a beast. It's been a couple months project but took my time, after all the headaches and $ I'm glad it's over now ready to ride . With a little more tuning it'll be in beast mode . Update : 23 hp copperhead.. 1. Bps crossover 2. 30mm mikuni w/ pvt intake adapter 3. Dyno 308 +4 cam. Carts plus rev kit , thin head gaskets ( didn't wanna shave heads just yet ). Question to anyone that knows how to fix the thing when I move the throttle a 1/4 in and it's at 3500 rpms. Just a little throttle gives me way to much. If I went full throttle it would grenade the engine but like I said a few adjustments. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
.Thanks for everyone that helped me out through the process... also a rev limiter next on the way to protect my time and $

Funny you ask that . I got them from carts plus same place as the rev kit . But the thing is if I would have known how there were before I bought them I would never have bought them ..all carts plus did was take the stock gasket drill the rivets out of the multi layer gasket and use the ends of the gasket and get rid of the center steel then they spray the gaskets both sides with copper gaskets spray.. and say copper coated thin performance gasket and charge you 24 bucks each and say it's equivalent to shaving heads .030 . I bit on to it and bought them. But now i know how they are made . So food for thought guys

So would anyone happen to know or have run in to this ... after I first started motor sounds great idles good too . But when I give a little throttle it reaches high rpms and the throttle is only squeezed a little the throttle is not hanging up or sticking it literally reaches high r's really fast on an 1/8 to 1/4 inch not throttle position . This is out of water haven't put it in. Yet but I see guys say there can barley get 4000 out of water with similar setup. Is there any thing anyone can think of called AL at pvt and he said it sounds really odd maybe to big of a cut away in carb but would that make this happen

Because there is no load on the engine. Put it in the water and it won't do it.

I also think I'm gonna try a smaller cutaway slide like a 1.5 there is a 2.5 in there now from the factory. Al said he sells his with a 1.5 cutaway. I know a smaller cutaway slide makes is richer. Any thoughts on this?

I thought that was something to do with it .. you think an advanced timing key would also play a part. I would hate to be ripping up the river whack a log and the prop jump out and over rev .. Guess that's y my dumb ass needs a rev limiter

Flint is your motor a CDI? If it is your rev limiter is built into the coils.
