 Home made exhaust
Well since my original stock exhaust was a rusty pile of junk for my 27hp Prodrive I decided to see what I could do with it. Gutted it and cut a center outlet. Holy hell I do not recommend stick welding it back together but that's all I had. Cleaned up the rust and soaked it in rust converter. I'll spray it high temp paint on it. Worst case scenario I toss it in the metal bin like I was gonna. Lol

 Re: Home made exhaust
How long does high temperature paint stay on a muffler. I'd like to do that to mine.

 Re: Home made exhaust
Gotta get the 2000 deg paint not the 500 deg high temp. U have to bake it either in a oven to cure it and then it last for yrs. my buddy did it to his Harley pipes

 Re: Home made exhaust
My neighbor does powdercoating and has an oven for it. I will get the 2000 degree paint and give it a try.

 Re: Home made exhaust
Your wife is going to murder you if you really did that in her kitchen oven. Oh and that shit isn't gonna stick. It was a waste of time.

 Re: Home made exhaust
Ran it for over a 1/2 hr paint held great. My throttle response improved and engine is cranking at 4500rpms and don't have it pegged all the way. Was at 4150-4200 Rpms with out load before.
