I think it was on the old forum that someone posted the fact that they had installed a cigarette lighter on their boat. And it was an actual cigarette lighter and not just an accessory plug. Man's gotta have a smoke every now and then.

I cant seem to find a lighter that flush mounts to the side of the boat. Any ideas?

Windproof lighter is always nice

Just run the hell outta your motor and light it off the muffler.

One summer when I was 18 and at the LSU deer research farm, I was bushhogging a field when I realized I had forgoten my lighter. I tried to light that cigarette off of every piece of metal that was even slightly hot. It didn't work but my reasoning was because it was a diesel and maybe didn't get as hot as a gas engine. I really have no clue but I'm almost positive I could light one off of my Marshmellow muffler.

I used to have cigarette lighters on my Whaler but they would always corrode out in less than a year. Now that was in saltwater but I've never heard of there being a good one out there. I always just keep a few extra lighters in the boat and a pack of matches vacumn sealed.

I have 3 of these on my boat. Waterproof, windproof and its butane so refillable.

Lost mine and friend forgot his in the truck one day. after several adult beverages we felt the need to burn a coupple. I lit it off the battery w/ a cain knife jumping the posts. We chain smoked after that. I'de jump mine off his after he'd finish and so on.
