There warranty is the real deal.. So my first pair cracked right in the bridge where it sits on your nose when I was putting them on . This happened about 3 months after I bought them. Sent them off and they said it was defect in the material.
Well that incident was 2 years ago.
A couple weeks ago They broke in 2 pieces this time while they were in my soft sided lunch box on a marsh workday for teal season. It looked like a dog chewed on them , so I sent them off again and only approved warranty work.. Bam.. Another $12 later and I have them back looking brand new.
I say it's a win win.,
Oh and a month without sunglasses sucks. Hate squinting

The last time I sent glasses back to Costa, I sent 3 pairs. I got them all back in just a hair under 3 weeks fixed up for $12 a pop. That month wait would suck

I've got a pair I need to send in that my daughter decided to turn into 2 pairs. I've glued the hinges back together twice but next time they come apart I'm sending them in. I just don't know how their warranty will work on something like that.

Meh their quality is shit any more. Been thru two pairs in two years. Had 3 pairs I lost before that. I wear the cheap ones (fathoms) bc that's what fits me best but the rubber is coming all apart on the nose and over the ears. It's basically just goo at this point. I'll be looking at another brand next time. Not to mention the lenses scratch easy as fuck too.

I have a $550 pair on Rx costas. I'm on my second broke frame in a year. Pretty ridiculous for something that expensive.

Costa's come in the frat starter packs with a masters hat and a Vineyard vines collared shirt still? With the amount of d bags wearing those I just couldn't draw myself to go purchase a pair.

I have had the same pair of Costas for @13 years. They have had to go back 2 times for new frames.

I have a second pair I've had for 8 years. They have gone back once for frames.

I have a third pair I've had for about a year. No problems yet.

I like to have a pair in each of my vehicles. I also get them dirt cheap because my sister is a Costa dealer.

I got my first pair in 2006 lost them in 2009. I'll never forget the day I lost them bc I was on the phone with my then girlfriend, I was looking for them, she was being a bitch about it so I went off on her and consequently never saw that awful bitch again. Hate that I never found those glasses though. Haha

My experience is quite the opposite, I sent back a pair of Rincon's and they wanted $120 to replace the cracked frame. I told them to keep'em.

I sold my other two pair and have avoided them since. Too bad because the 580 glass is amazingly clear.

I think I'll go to cabelas tomorrow on my lunch break and see what kinda Luke Bryan sun glasses they got.

My buddy has Salt Life as a small sponsor for his offshore tournament team. They send him sunglasses often. He said he actually prefers them over his Costa 580s.

I just got mine back after a month. Had to wear some garbage Oakleys in the mean time.
First pair I bought was in '08 sent them back in '11 because lenses were scratched. I was going to pay for it myself. They were lower cost Rio Mar, the finish was coming off so they said they would warranty them. However they didn't make them anymore and I could pick out any pair I wanted. So I picked the expensive Fisch.
Sent them back a few years later cause rubber came off, got them back 2 weeks later.
Sent them back last month cause rubber was off and I grinded with them and fucked up the lense. They said they were repairing them and replacing the lense. But when I got them back today they were same model but less rubber. Guess it was an issue so they changed design.
Also these are 580 and pretty sure the others were 400.

People always say how cheap they are. I wear mine EVERY day. Name 1 other article of cloths that would hold up if you wore it 365 days a year. Besides a leather belt.

I bought Smith Optics last time my costas crapped out on me. I got the challis with chromapop lenses. I'm very pleases and will buy smith again. And my frames don't say tiawan on them.

These new style Fisch glasses that I just got back don't say Taiwan. Maybe they are bringing it back to US?

I had a pair of Costas that were over 6 years old and finally they broke right across the nose. I sent them off to get repaird but costa discontiunued that model so I got to pick out my new frames and the same series lenses from my broken pair but I could change colors. I thought it was cool that I got to pick new frames and colors and it only cost me $12 for the processing. Once I received my new pair I could tell right away the lenses were shit compared to the old lenses i had for years. I figured I had a new pair of glasses with not as good lenses but it wasn't a big deal until I dropped them on my counter top and it cracked one of the lenses. I sent them back and costa refused to repair them under warranty. My arugumebt was I had a pair I loved for years that had no issues then costa sent me a new pair of turd lenses and cracked in less than a month. I bitched and finally they covered them under warranty. I do not wear them anymore because the new lenses are garbage and thier quality has went to hell.

Well that's upsetting to hear about the drop in quality. I have an old pair of the Osprey that I loved. I wore them for nearly 5 years before they split in two at the bridge of the nose on a dive trip. I stopped that afternoon and bought a pair of the Brine to replace those while I sent them off to be repaired. I never sent them off though. They've been sitting in a case in a drawer at home. Now my Brine are starting to fall apart at the 5 year mark. The rubber has all fallen off and my left lens is split all the way across. I may send them off 1 at a time just to see what they charge me to replace/fix them. I'm really hoping they can last as long as my other two pair have.
