Post Through-transom bolts for GD SD
I'm looking for advice on how to put the through-transom boots on a Grizzly tracker. Anyone have experience or suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Step 1. Hang the motor on transom where you want it
Step 2. Tighten the clamp bolts on the motor to clamp it to the transom
Step 3. Get a drill
Step 4. Drill a hole through the transom where the hole is on the transom bracket
Step 5. Put the bolt through the hole
Step 6. Put the lock nut on the other end of the bolt

Quack, if someone needs help/advise on bolting a motor to the boat, they probably shouldn't own a damn boat!

Is there some bracing blocking where the bolts would go through? I hope that's the question you're asking anyway :D

I should have clarified - I'm concerned with making sure I get through a bracing structure and not simply sheet aluminum. I was hoping someone knew which (if either) of the two pre-drilled holes would do that on a grizzly tracker. And, if it won't hit bracing, any alternatives that you recommend.

I would also say to use the search feature, but I don't think this question has ever been asked...

May be try this if it will work on a tracker.

if your worried about it, get you a plate of 1/4" aluminum that goes all the way across or 10-12" wider than mounting bolts and mount it and drive it!

Thank you to all. I spoke to GD today. They suggest using the bottom bolt holes, regardless of whether or not those holes hit a cross member. If that looks too flimsy, I'll get the 1/4 plate as support. Thanks again.
